On the 19th January 2024, H.E. Ambassador Debora Lepre, the newly appointed Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Italy to the UN in Vienna, met with Ambassador Günther A. Granser to discuss shared initiatives.
Discussions emphasized enhancing living standards, sustainable development, and economic improvement in developing regions, particularly the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa. The aim is to address poverty, migration challenges, and humanitarian crises.
Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration across key UN entities: UNODC, IAEA, UNIDO, CTBTO, and UNOOSA.
