Ambassador Günther A. GRANSER

Günther A. Granser, born in Austria, studied international economics and today serves as honorary president of the prestigious Organization for International Economic Relations. Since 1972, this organization holds consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and the Council of Europe. Additionally, Granser is the Chairman of his family office, further showcasing his expertise in global strategic and economic endeavours. He is also the founder of the Global Panorama, an initiative aimed at fostering international cooperation and dialogue.

Prior to his current roles, in 1994, he served as Ambassador to Albania and North Macedonia. Since 2009, he has been Ambassador and Permanent Observer of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations in Vienna. His responsibilities extend to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). In 2019, he was further appointed with Permanent Observer Status for the Sovereign Order of Malta to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Granser is also a prolific author and editor of books, journals, and articles in the fields of international relations and organizational management. He is President of the United Global Academy, Advisor to the Life Science University in Vienna, and a former Honorary Professor at Karl-Franzens University in Graz. In addition to these roles, he was a longstanding Board Member of the United World College (Duino), underscoring his commitment to education and global engagement.
